Each of my paintings attempts to capture a moment: the interaction of people within nature, the effects of light, and the colors and shadows that light creates. I find inspiration in witnessing the intimacy of such an interaction - like someone caught in the background of a photograph unaware that his gestures are being recorded - and work to portray that on a canvas.
